The PanOptix trifocal intraocular lens offers tremendous flexibility in allowing you to see well simultaneously at distance, intermediate, and near. We are very excited to offer this new technology to help you see better and reduce your dependence on glasses.

Traditional lens implants have only one focus, meaning that you can see well at distance after cataract surgery, but will need glasses for reading and computer work. Previous generation “multifocal” lenses have two foci, which can allow you to see well at both distance and near, but sacrifices the intermediate computer distance. In today’s digital age, there is increased demand for intermediate vision, and more and more patients want to be able to see well at all three distances.

The PanOptix trifocal intraocular lens is the first and currently only trifocal intraocular lens available in the U.S. The PanOptix lens is already available in more than 70 countries. It’s proprietary design allows for excellent distance, intermediate, and near vision. 12 clinical studies demonstrated exceptional patient satisfaction with this intraocular lens, with more than 99% of PanOptix patients reporting that they would choose the same lens again, and 98% stating that they would recommend it to family and friends.
The PanOptix lens is not without its drawbacks, however. More patients who choose the PanOptix lens complain of starbursts, halos and glare compared with traditional single focus lens implants, although only 1.6% to 4.8% of patients are very bothered by these symptoms.
