About our Practice
Dr. Solinsky and his staff serve you based on a simple philosophy: to provide the most modern, comprehensive, and compassionate care available.
When you visit us for your appointment, you are the most important person in our office. We want to care for you in a courteous and efficient manner. Our staff is sensitive to your needs and will be happy to assist you with your medical, insurance, transportation and financial concerns.
Alan E. Solinsky, M.D.
Dr. Solinsky is a graduate of the Univ. of CT School of Medicine. He trained
at Hartford Hospital, Hahnemann Univ., and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
He is a clinical instructor for the Dept. of Surgery at the Univ. of CT. He is a Board
Certified Ophthalmologist and is a Member and Diplomate of the American Academy
of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He has performed
thousands of micro-surgical eye operations and has been in practice since 1990. Selected as
one of America’s top Ophthalmologists by the Consumer Research Council of America.
Spiro P. Combest, MD
Dr. Combest is an honors graduate of Adelphi University in NY.
He completed his medical and Ophthalmology residency training at Nassau University
Medical Center in NY. He was Chief Resident during his senior year. He is a member
of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Combest performs many
surgical procedures including cataracts, retinal and glaucoma lasers and treatment of
macular degeneration. He is fluent in Spanish.
Charlene Chateauneuf, O.D.
Dr. Chateauneuf received her doctorate from The New England
College of Optometry in Boston. She completed a residency in geriatric and primary
eye care at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center’s West Roxbury Campus.
Dr. Chateauneuf is an active member of the American Optometric Association and
the American Academy of Optometry. She is a committed volunteer, providing
optometric services to those in need with Volunteer Optometrists in Service to
Humanity (VOSH) and at the Special Olympic Games. She is fluent in Spanish.
Erin L. McCleary, OD
Dr. McCleary received her doctorate from Pacific University College of
Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. She has completed additional training at
Discover Vision Centers in Kansas City, Missouri as well as Kaiser Permanente
in Portland Oregon. Her education and training enable her to practice current
Advanced Optometric Care. Dr. McCleary is an active member of the American
Optometric Association and the American Academy of Optometry. She has a
great interest in Pediatric Optometry.
John M. Lertora, O.D.
Dr. Lertora is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, with a bachelors degree in biology. He received his doctor of optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Dr. Lertora is a Board Certified Optometrist trained and experienced to practice Advanced Optometric Care. He is an active member of the American Optometrists Association and served as President of the Connecticut Association of Optometrists in 2002. He has been in practice since 1985. |
