Happy Holidays!

We are excited to share an update from a recent newsletter from one of our supported charities, Operation Comix Relief who received our July Jeans Day Charity Donation.

Thanks to all of our supporters and the volunteers at OCR we were able to ship out several hundred packages to our soldiers for the holidays. There now will be a little light in a day they will be missing being home with their loved ones. We’d like to extend a very big thank you to Dr. Alan Solinsky, Dr. Susan Janik, Ms. Deanna Darin & the staff of Solinsky EyeCare, LLC (www.solinskyeyecare.com) in CT for their extremely generous donation. This will help us put a lot of packages into the hands of our deployed as they will soon see from the letter and pictures, as we get them back from our soldiers.

As this year comes to a close I’d like to thank all who supported OCR once again as well as our volunteers. It’s because of you that all this really happens.

To our deployed soldiers…Thank you! We’re here because your there. Have a great holiday, we support you and remember, you are not forgotten!
– Until next time,

Chris

Here are a couple of letters Operation Comix Relief received from soldiers:

Dear Operation Comix Relief,

I wanted to say THANK YOU from the men and women for the 386 ESFS. My troops have been absolutely thrilled to receive comics from your organization. I myself am an avid reader and I can tell you it was amazing to get some hard copy comics to read after 10 months. In fact I was at chow today and the convo that came up was “If you could have any two super powers what would they be?” Conversations like this and reading a good comic allow my troops to “escape the suck” as we say. I also attached a pic of me reading a comic for your website…as you can see I am not getting much work done today and you can see in the pic my love for comics lol. Anyways thanks again!
